This series comprises six workshops, each lasting two hours, and covers the fundamentals of the human-centered design process from beginning to end. Whether you’re looking to overhaul an existing project or start something new, this series will guide you in iterating or refining your concepts and creative ideas. These workshops can be purchased individually or as a complete package.

These workshops will provide a comprehensive and engaging introduction to the design process, helping participants gain practical skills and insights applicable to various design fields.

As a product design leader with a rich background from the Royal College of Art, I’ve earned over 200 patents and made transformative contributions across various tech interfaces. At Daily Goods Design Labs, I lead the creation of human-centered designs, particularly focusing on women’s health and technology. My expertise in UX leadership and patent management fosters collaboration across teams, resulting in innovative user experiences.

I guide designers to achieve their full potential, nurturing leadership and innovation. My entrepreneurial spirit led me to establish a design firm committed to inclusive design, managing projects from conception to market, and enhancing strategic program development.

Wed. Oct 9th, 7-9 PM $85.00 Introduction to Design Thinking and Ideation: This workshop introduces participants to the design thinking process and focuses on ideation techniques to generate creative solutions. Participants will learn about brainstorming methods, mind mapping, and other ideation techniques. They will also be able to apply these techniques in group activities and work on a personal project. Before the workshop, participants will receive preparatory materials, including articles and videos on the basics of design thinking. After the workshop, a recap email will be sent with key takeaways, additional resources for further learning, and a feedback survey.

Wed. Oct 30th, 7-9 PM $85.00  User Research and Insights: This workshop focuses on the importance of user research in the design process. Participants will learn how to conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and observations and how to analyze data to derive insights. The workshop includes role-playing activities for practicing user research methods and group discussions for analyzing hypothetical user research data. Participants will also have the opportunity to conduct user research for their personal project. Preparatory materials and a post-workshop recap email will be provided.

Wed. Nov 20th, 7-9 PM $85.00  User Journey Mapping: This workshop focuses on user journey mapping as a tool to understand and improve the user experience. Participants will learn how to create user journey maps based on user research and insights. The workshop includes group activities for crafting and analyzing user journey maps. Participants will also have the opportunity to create a user journey map for their personal project. Preparatory materials and a post-workshop recap email will be provided.

Wed. Dec. 11th, 7 – 9 PM $85.00 Prototyping and Iteration: This workshop focuses on the prototyping phase of the design process, teaching participants how to create and iterate on prototypes. Participants will learn about different methods and materials for creating prototypes and techniques for gathering feedback and iterating on designs. The workshop includes hands-on prototyping exercises and user testing sessions. Participants will also be able to create a prototype for their personal project. Preparatory materials and a post-workshop recap email will be provided.

Wed. Jan. 22nd, 7-9 PM $85 Design Presentation and Storytelling: This workshop helps participants develop skills in presenting their designs and telling compelling stories about their work. Participants will learn about the key elements of a successful design presentation and how to craft a compelling narrative around their design. The workshop includes practice presentations and peer feedback sessions. Participants will also be able to prepare a presentation for their personal project. Preparatory materials and a post-workshop recap email will be provided.

Wed. Feb 12th, 7-9 PM. $85 Design Evaluation and Feedback: This workshop focuses on the importance of critique and feedback in the design process, teaching participants how to give and receive positive, constructive feedback. Participants will learn about the role of critique in the design process and techniques for providing and accepting constructive feedback. The workshop includes group critique sessions and feedback refinement activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to critique and provide feedback on each other’s personal projects. Preparatory materials and a post-workshop recap email will be provided.
